The Unspoken Rules of Society.

While I was doing one of my writing homework, I found an interesting poem written by "scripturienc". I think it is interesting because even thought female revolution took over a long time ago, society still believes in these rules, which in my opinion have always been stupid.

The Unspoken Rules of Society.

women should be stick-thin, hairless 
and wearing as little clothing as possible
women should be convenient
women should be weak and needy
women should need men to save them 
and provide for them and give them purpose
women should not know what to do 
until they are told so by men
men should be authority

men should be righteous
men should be strong and brave and responsible
women should not have responsibilities
men should bring home the bacon 
and women should stay at home 
and cry about their feelings
men should not cry, men should not have feelings
men should talk about sports and guns and 
the laundry list of women they have fucked and nothing else 
women should always listen and never speak

women should be convenient
women should depend on men for purpose and instruction
women should provide men with food and sex and ego boosts
men should not really need ego boosts
women should not cry in public
women should not complain, women should not refuse
women should shut up and hold still and do as they're told
women should be tailored to suit men's desires
men should desire stick-thin women with no will of their own

women should stay women and men should stay men 
and there should be no kind of in-between
no middle ground, no room to breathe
women should not have room to breathe
women should give everything up
women should be there for the taking, men should take
men should take what they want when they want from women 
until there is nothing of them left

women should raise the children and cook the dinners 
and do the laundry and cry about their feelings
men should go to work and go out drinking 
and go watch football and have affairs
men should be ramrod straight and selfish and self-absorbed
women should stare at the floor 
and speak only when spoken to and know their place

women should be stick thin and weak and 
breakable and needy and convenient
men should be strong and violent and merciless and righteous
women should be at fault
women should be tempting, men should be tempted
men should be strong and brave and broad shouldered

men should be right, and women should be quiet
